The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni was due to be at Luvisi Primary School in Nquthu at 3pm yesterday but by 5pm she and her delegation had still not arrived.

Parents were upset as they were seeking answers after Tuesday’s horror shooting at the school that claimed the life of Nquthu Council Speaker, Vusi Ntombela (47), and a 12-year-old school girl.

A Grade 6 boy was injured in the shooting.  Three men were later arrested outside the school by the Nquthu SAPS.

Unconfirmed reports said that one of the men had made a confession to police.  The trio are expected in Court today.
