The Ladysmith Police were recently alerted to a new modus operandi which was used to commit a robbery.
The incident occurred on May 3 along the Colenso/Pieters road.
A motorist who was travelling along the roadway noticed a person lying near the road in an isolated area.
Being a good Samaritan he feared that the person was injured and stopped his vehicle to render assistance. As he alighted from his vehicle he was confronted by a group of armed men.
The suspects held him up at gun point and robbed him of his cell phones and cash.
In the interest of your safety Police advise the community to be aware of this modus operandi to rob people.
