A couple was gunned down last night (Thursday) at Ganahoek in Colenso.
A man and woman were travelling in a white bakkie when unknown gunmen opened fire and riddled their bakkie with bullets.
The male was seriously injured whilst female sustained moderate injuries.
Colenso police, Ladysmith K9 and Ladysmith detectives were on scene.
They were stabilized on scene by EMRS and Sharaj Ambulance Services and then transported to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.
