Junior boys’ excel at soccer match

Both matches were tough but the boys all put forth a magnificent effort

On Tuesday, June 2 the St Gregory grade one boys and a mixed team of grade two and three boys played their first match (debut match for the grade ones) against respective teams from Estcourt Christian Academy, after having had a mere two practices.

Both matches were tough but the boys all put forth a magnificent effort! The grade ones played fantastically but were unfortunate to lose 4-1, whilst the grade two and three team showcased some impressive teamwork – resulting in a 2 – 0 win.

‘Player of the Match’ was awarded to Sithokomele Nhlabathi (grade one team) and Simphiwe Vilakazi (grade two/three team), whilst ‘Most Improved Player’ was awarded to Siyamthanda Mazibuko (grade one team) and Karel Kande (grade two/three team).

A big thank you to Estcourt Christian Academy for hosting the match – great fun was had by all! Well played boys!
