While going about shopping in Alexandra Street a man received a call instructing him to meet the caller at the Estcourt grave yard on Wednesday, June 24 at about 3.30pm.

The man did as he was instructed and upon arriving at the grave yard the man was met by the caller and two foreign nationals. It is alleged that the caller began pushing the man around asking him what he wants from him.

When trying to ask what was going on, the caller and the two foreign nationals began assaulting the man repeatedly with sticks.

A case was filed at the police station an investigation commenced, which resulted in the arrest of the caller and his accomplices.The suspects appeared before the Estcourt Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 25 on charges of assault.
