Two small dogs were poisoned by the gang when they stole a motorbike from a verandah at a Glencoe home in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Last week another off-road bike was stolen from Glencoe. The Newcastle Motor Theft Vehicle Unit are hard at work tracking the criminals and hope to soon make a breakthrough.
Col Linda Ferreira of the Unit urged the public to be on the lookout for ‘suspicious-looking vehicles’ operating in especially suburban areas as ‘scouting exercises’ are done during the day on possible motorbike thefts.
