Keeping fit while fundraising

Approximately R1 000 was raised at the Zumbathon, which will be donated towards the Moorleigh Press Mission project

Fitness, fun and fundraising merged at the Minutes for Madiba Zumbathon held last Saturday. Zumba Instructor Leeanne van der Westhuizen decided to host the fundraising Zumbathon in July to commemorate Mandela Month.

22 people of all ages participated in the event that was held on Saturday at the NG Church. Approximately R1 000 was raised at the Zumbathon, which will be donated towards the Moorleigh Press Mission project.

Leeanne described the Zumbathon as fun-filled and energetic.

“Those that attended were amazing and we were blessed with lovely prizes,” said Leeanne. “I would like to thank all the sponsors and participants for coming together for a good cause, without their valued support, events like this would not be possible,” she added.
