NHS boasts KZN inland hockey player

Gabi East, a Grade 11 pupil from Newcastle High School was recently selected for the under-18 KZN Inland Girls’ Hockey team and participated in the National Tournament in Pretoria during the July school holidays.

Gabi was impressed by the commitment of all involved. This urged her to run a little faster, encourage her teammates a little more and play even harder. She thanked everyone who contributed to her fund-raising and enabled her to enjoy this wonderful achievement.

She hopes to do it again in future, and maybe even take it one step further by making it to the national level.

Newcastle High School’s principal, staff and fellow pupils are extremely proud of Gabi and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
