The first function for this year’s Invisible Phenomenal Women awards is on August 13.
With the beneficiary for fundraising confirmed as Esperanza Special Needs School, the teachers and principal of the school will be hosted at this function.
The school will be closed specifically for staff to be in attendance.
“What is awesome about this school is all the teachers last year individually nominated their principal, Jennifer Pillay as a phenomenal woman,” explained co-founder, Sonja Luus.
Mrs Luus said the dedication shown by these women was amazing, stating the patience and love shown to their pupils was truly inspiring.
In her words, she really admired the teachers and principal.
The function on August 13 at Blackrock Casino will be special in providing a platform for the school to address the audience and explain the aims and needs of the school.
Those who support Esperanza are also welcome to attend.
Tickets are still available at R50 per person and will not be sold at the door – to book, contact Phenomenal Women on 034 315 2637.
“We also remind the public to contribute towards the five projects previously mentioned. Whether you attend the functions or not, every little bit helps. Those who are unable to attend but can contribute, can contact Phenomenal Women and arrange for pick-up of donations.”
