Gambling in the name of goodwill

Blackrock patron, Mr S. Zulu chose Khulisa Social Solutions as the beneficiary of the R5 000 prize.

Blackrock Casino hosted a charity initiative second to none on August 20.

The top three participants in the current Slots Factor promotion were invited to compete in a tournament in aid of the non-profit organisation of their choice.

Loyal Blackrock patron, Mr S. Zulu won the heat, taking home R500 in cash, as well as a whopping R5 000 for his charity.

With children’s initiatives close to his heart, Mr Zulu chose Khulisa Social Solutions as the beneficiary of the R5 000 prize. Khulisa is a non-profit organisation focused on early childhood development in rural communities in and around Newcastle.

“The function was for a good cause and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the excitement and thrill of competing with each other for their nominated charities. We have just a few weeks left until the Slots Factor tournament ends; all it takes is R100 to enter to stand a chance to become an instant millionaire,” concluded Blackrock Casino Marketing Manager, Veneshrie Chetty.
