2 suspects believed to be involved in a card cloning incident were arrested by Ladysmith police, together with Public Safety, on Tuesday last week.
Police received information that the 2 suspects were in the Ladysmith area and traced them to Riddell Road, where they were arrested and brought in for questioning.
It is suspected that the 2 may have been involved in an incident which occurred on August 10 at an ATM in Murchison Street, where a local resident used the ATM only to have her card “swallowed”.
Later, she found that money had been withdrawn from her account.
Police are still investigating the matter.
