Dynamic Danel is marketing up a storm

The business has been afloat for 15 years, I want to be afloat for fifty more," Danel beamed.

Dynamic Danel Call is not your ordinary receptionist/ marketer, she is a brainbox filled with ideas and innovative plans taking marketing to a whole new level at Chez Nous Bed and Breakfast.
This was After she coupled up with the owner of Chez Nous Bed and Breakfast, Elisabeth Durham, they searched the depths of their imaginations and cooked up a plan to host parties for the community by the community, in a bid to not only draw feet in the business, but also to give back to the community.
The pair have since hosted a series of successful events including, the celebration of secretaries and a woman’s month celebration.
“The events were hosted to give back, and spoil the little people, the people behind the scenes, not the elite who are constantly spoilt,” Danel explained.
The most recent event, ‘celebration of Womens Day’, was a small, cosy event, with a few people that Danel had personally invited by going out on the streets and talking to people.
“We aim to get people to remember Chez Nous by giving back to the community,” Danel enthused.
Danel Call is no stranger to the world of marketing and hospitality and has a Bachelors Degree in Food and Beverage Management, which she obtained from Technikon of Pretoria, which is now known as Tshwane University of Technology.
After obtaining her degree, she went on to work at Giovanni’s Restaurant in Pretoria but had to leave due to a knee operation.
The knee operation opened new doors for her and she went on to work in retail for a while. But her journey has taken her back to hospitality and she has found a ‘home’ for herself at Chez Nous Bed and Breakfast.
She has big plans for the small personal BnB in Dundee, and has many marketing events lined up for the future, one of which is a Breast Cancer Awareness event set to take place in October.
Her reason behind hosting this event was spurred by the tragic passing of her brother, Zjaen De Jager who lost his life to cancer in 2004.
“Ever since my brothers passing, cancer and awareness of it has hit close to my heart, and as a result I always do what I can to create awareness and even attend Shavathon’s annually,” Danel confided.
“With this event I hope to build up camaderie and awareness in the fight against cancer, and get CANSA involved and hopefully raise funds for the organisation,” she added.
For the future, she hopes to take the marketing of Chez Nous to a whole new level; “Chez Nous does very well but there is always room for improvement. We wish to find the little people in the groups, not only the big corporates. I aim to get Chez Nous out there. The business has been afloat for 15 years, I want to be afloat for fifty more,” Danel beamed.
