Dog-a-thon fun at Agar Field
The walk began at 2pm, with dozens of dogs and their owners taking to the streets
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s (AACL) annual Dog-a-thon was held yesterday afternoon (Saturday) at Egerton’s Agar Sports Field.
Free rabies vaccinations were offered to all the dogs, with many people jumping at the opportunity to receive a free ‘shot’ against this deadly disease.
The walk began at 2pm, with dozens of dogs and their owners taking to the streets to raise funds for the AACL.
When all the participants got back to the field, the judges called for entries in various categories such as ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘Best Rescue Dog’. The judges took a good look at all the candidates before deciding on the winners. After the judging, great prizes were handed out to much applause and wagging of tails.
It was an afternoon of great fun for both the pooches and their owners, all in aid of a good cause. Woof woof!
