A vibrant energy surged through the Sat-Chit-Ananda Temple on Thursday evening, as devotees participated in Sri Ganesh Chatutri celebrations.
The auspicious festivity initially started on Sunday, September 13, when devotees took part in a five-day fast.
“The fasting and prayer period culminated into tonight’s function,” Avikar Singh, a representative from the temple explained.
He said the celebrations represented the manifestation of Gauri Ganapathi.
“During the five days, we prayed and sang praises to Lord Ganesha, as he is the remover of all obstacles and we glorify his name as he took his form.”
During Thursday’s festivities, an abisheik and hawan was held.
The evening left devotees feeling closer to Lord Ganesha as they shed negative influences of their lives through praise.
