South Africa’s zaniest stand-up comedian is coming to Ladysmith for a uniquely funny, side-splitting, “haha-laal” comedy adventure. ‘Make Salaam and Laugh’ features Masood Boomgaard on a night of laughs suitable for the whole family – even your mother-in-law will suddenly find her sense of humour.
The show will look at the funny side of being Muslim in South Africa, while also delving in everyday life issues and talking points such as the economy, crime, elections, sports, married life and everything in between.
Masood Boomgaard is a columnist, and observational comedian and satirist, who recently treated Durban audiences to his stand-up show ‘Funny Country’, which had a ’20 years of democracy’ theme.
He also recently staged a double-header with SA comedy legend Marc Lottering.
Masood represents the present and future of comedy in South Africa, and is eager to let rip! He guarantees a night of rolling in the aisles and side-splitting laughter for the entire family.
