Update: uThukela releases water level stats
Water flowed from some taps, while other areas remained dry
uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mkhonza has released information regarding water levels around town.
Water supply levels in water-shedding areas:
Ladysmith low level on plant 63%; Golf Course 31%; Observation Hill 0%; High Tower 0%. Ezakheni bulk on plant low level 63%; Aasvoelkop 10%; Weltevreden 13%; Rose Hill 0%; Abattoir Hill 0%; Maiden’s Castle 31%.
Many residents affected by water cuts waited eagerly for their water supply to be restored at 4.30pm. However, water flowed from some taps, while other areas remained dry.
Engineers are working around the clock to try and provide water to the affected areas.
