Several stormwater drains in Arbor Park and Signal Hill have fallen prey to vandalism and possible neglect.

With smashed covers, the stormwater drains now pose a potential threat to pedestrians.

Wishing to remain anonymous, a resident from Magnolia Street, Arbor Park, blamed motorists for the hazardous stormwater drains.

“I once saw someone do a U-turn, but managed to reverse into the stormwater drain and breaking its cover. The motorist didn’t even stop to see what damage he had caused.”

The municipality has been contacted for comment, but none was forthcoming at the time of going to print.
