Gallons of gushing water from a burst pipe at a home in Carrington Street, Lennoxton has got its residents up in arms.
Albeit reported to the municipality, it has taken an hour for anyone to respond, leaving residents fuming as large volumes of water flowed freely down the street and continued further down two other streets.
With numerous attempts to contact the municipality being futile until 30 minutes later, an irate resident was told “due to faulty lines they only have one phone operating.”
Residents gathered their pails and attempted to collect some of the water to use in their gardens.
“I am appalled by the blantant disregard the municipality shows to burst pipes,” expressed an annoyed resident.
