Klipfontein Dam below 25%

This in the picture is the ablution block at Klipfontein Dam, over towards Inkamana Abbey. It now sits far from the water’s edge because the dam has now fallen below 25% full. The little bit of rain recently received has made no difference to dam levels. It is believed that when Klipfontein reaches 18% it will become difficult if not impossible to pump water from it. And yet, we’ve had a report that at the municipal fire station, behind the wall, there’s a garden, and workers have been seen on Tuesday this week, watering it with a hose pipe. Save water now, folks, save water now and pray for rain and an end of stupidity.
