Various local businesses were visited to determine whether legitimate products were on sale or not

The Ladysmith K9 Unit was on hand to render assistance to a counterfeit goods investigator representing several well-known company brand names yesterday afternoon.

Various local businesses were visited to determine whether legitimate products were on sale or not.

During the inspection, a large quantity of counterfeit goods were seized. The business owners were issued with documentation on behalf of the companies who legally own the trademarks and brand names.

The counterfeit goods will be transported to a central point, where they will be destroyed.
