Paradise residents are demanding that taxi drivers no longer wash their vehicles on the vacant land next to the taxi rank.
Paradise motorists criticise the taxi driver’s disregard of road safety.
“Sometimes, taxi drivers park in the road and if you come from Jenkyn Street, you can’t drive past them and the taxi drivers will not bother moving,” said an irate resident, who wished to remain anonymous.
Allegedly, the drivers enter the street without looking for oncoming traffic, compromising the safety of other motorists.
“They also do U-turns without looking and it is really becoming a problem,” the resident stressed.
“The municipality needs to do something.”
The municipality was contacted but no comment was forthcoming at the time of publication.
