Sewage leaks a stinky affair

Sewer leakage on the corner of Jasper and Jade Avenues in Sunny Ridge was seen overflowing with sewer from a manhole for a week.

A slow leak on the corner of Sagittarius and Gemini Streets also in Sunny Ridge was seen leaking for a month.

A water leak in Uranus Crescent, in Schuinshoogte was also seen leaking for last three weeks.

According to Ward 2 Councillor Bebsie Cronje, these water and sewer leaks were not reported to her or the Municipality.

“Now that I have knowledge of the issue, I will immediately attend to them. I urge residents of Ward 2, please report water wastage and leaks as well as sewer leaks directly to me or the Municipality,” advised Mrs Cronje.

At the time of going to print, it was reported that the leak in Uranus Street had been fixed.
