A most successful prize giving ceremony was held on December 4 at the Glencoe Town Hall. The Department of Education was represented by Mr Phakathi, Endumeni SEM and Mr Jiyane, School governance.
Neo Motaung, Grade 7, was the star of the day. He was the recipient of no fewer than 12 awards.
The 2015 Grade 7 pupils have obtained a 100% pass rate and they were wished all the best for their future by Miss Burger, principal of Biggarsberg Primary.
The ‘FORGET ME NOT’ project once again proved to be a resounding success and boxes of school shoes and school uniform items were donated by the outgoing class of 2015.
Miss Burger thanked both teachers and pupils for their commitment shown during the academic year. The teachers were commended on the positive manner in which they handled the ongoing ANA debate and Miss Burger was pleased to announce that the writing of ANA had been conducted in a professional manner with no disruption experienced.
One of the highlights of the principal’s address was that the plans for the building of school hall had been submitted for approval from the municipality.
This is truly a dream come true after numerous years of fund-raising for the project.
