Tree blocks lane after crashing down in Ruby Gailey Drive
A police officer directed traffic around the obstruction until a tow truck arrived and moved the tree off the road
The powerful, violent, electrical storm that descended on Ladysmith this evening (Sunday) caused a tree to come crashing down in Ruby Gailey Drive.
The tree fell under the pressure of the wind and rain, blocking the lane going up into Observation Hill.
A police officer driving along Ruby Gailey Drive saw what had happened and started directing traffic around the obstruction.
A tow truck responded and moved the tree off the road. Traffic is now flowing smoothly once again.
