Falls of up to 42mm of rain were measured during last night’s short but sharp storm that struck the Endumeni area shortly after 5pm.

The rain was accompanied by light hail.  Hattingspruit measured 42mm in about 15 minutes while in Dundee and Glencoe, the recordings varied from between 20 and 32mm

More storms are predicted for later today with the mercury just touching 24 degrees.  More rain is expected tomorrow with the weatherman predicting a high of just 22 degrees,

Meanwhile, water restrictions are continuing with the higher-lying areas being cut off from around 10am to 4pm daily and during the night.
