Alleged murderer appears before magistrate.

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested at Blaauwbosch for the murder of a 24-year-old man, on January 16.

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested at Blaauwbosch for the murder of a 24-year-old man, on January 16.

Police spokesperson, Captain Shooz Magudulela said police were notified of the murder by staff members of Madadeni Provincial Hospital on January 1, at around 1.30am. The suspect’s whereabouts were unknown at the time.

“Madadeni Crime Prevention Unit received a tip-off of the suspect’s whereabouts. They proceeded to a Blaauwbosch farm near Madadeni, and the suspect was taken into police custody,” said Captain Magudulela.

The suspect appeared at Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on January 19. The case was postponed and the accused remains in police custody.

Further investigations continue.
