Sporting stars shine at Dannhauser Secondary
On the track or on the court, Dannhauser stars shine
Dannhauser Secondary got the year off to a sporty start when the school hosted their Sports Day.
Learners were divided into five sporting houses, Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and Jaguars. Excitement was high and competition was fierce as learners sought to bring home the honours for their house.
When all was said and done, Tigers claimed the bragging rights, winning the day. Second was Cheetahs, third was Leopards, fourth was Lions and Jaguars brought up the rear. Parents and learners expressed their excitement at having a sports day after a lengthy absence and hope future sports days will be as entertaining.
Volleyball
The school’s Volleyball team are serving up the results. The youngsters are unbeaten in three games so far, having beaten Newcastle both home and away.
Coach, TC Maharaj and Manager, Ryan Naicker, are extremely proud of the boys and wish them well for the future.
