Late summer heatwave sends mercury soaring

Endumeni and the rest of Northern KZN is sizzling today as the late summer heatwave increases in intensity.
A high of 32 degrees is expected today with thundershowers predicted for later in the day.
A 30% chance of rain can be expected over the eastern parts of the North West as well as eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
The SA Weather service said the second cold front will move south of the country, bringing with it scattered to widespread showers as well as thundershowers.
There will be relief from Wednesday with a high of 18 expected along with showers. The rest of the week is also cooler: Thursday: 26, Friday 23 and Saturday 24 with a good chance of much-needed rain.
Temperatures are set to sizzle across most parts of the country as Pretoria will see a high 36°C and Joburg will see a high of 33°C.
