Each term, pupils at the school get to dress up according to a different culture that forms part of our nation and heritage.
“This is a great way for the pupils to explore their cultural heritage, diversity of our country and the children love it.” said principal, Pam de Jager.
Culture is the characteristics of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.
“Celebrating one’s culture and the cultures of others, is a great way for pupils to learn that preserving culture doesn’t mean to disrespect other peoples’ cultures. It creates and develops identities. We need to love and feel proud of our country’s diverse cultures,” she concluded.
