Ladysmith Visible Policing officers were called out to a complaint in Maple Crescent, Acaciavale, yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
At the premises, they were shown two chairs that were allegedly brought and left in the yard of the complainant overnight.
Investigations in the area did not reveal the owner.
The chairs have been taken for safe-keeping at the police station.
At this stage, no reports of the theft of these chairs have been received by Ladysmith police.
