Livulwe izinkulungwane isonto lase St Johns
After 38 years of praying, that vision has finally become reality.

The opening of the new St John’s Church was attended by thousands of worshippers last weekend.
The church, situated at the entrance to Sibongile, was built by the well-respected Mama Ngwenya’s grand daughter, Zandile Thabe, who is a doctor, and her husband, Judge Thabe, a popular businessman in Gauteng.
Both Zandile and Judge Thabe said they built this church in recognition of their grandmother and grandfather, Baba Ngwenya, who passed away in 2008.
The church has humble beginnings. It started from a shack in Sibongile in 1974.
In those days Mama Ngwenya was victimised by the police who claimed that other church leaders were reporting that she was ‘taking congregants away from their churches.’
Mama Ngwenya told the municipal police that she did not call anyone but ‘only prayed for the sick and needy people and gave them water when God sent them to her.’
A prophet, Mama Makhumalo of Ladysmith, told Mama Ngwenya 38 years ago that ‘one day she would build a church in Dundee to care for the sick and needy’.
After 38 years of praying, that vision has finally become reality.
The co-founder of the St Johns Church was Archbishop D PJ Masango who was also a well-known prophet.
Lady Archbishop G Maragu officially opened the church. The church wishes to thank the following: Endumeni Municipality, Umzinyathi District Council, eNhlanhleni Care Centre, Anton Ferreira, Endumeni Municipality, the Traffic Department, Dundee SAPS and Mbube Security for the support.
