Sarel’s Jukskei team off to SA Champs

Sarel Cilliers High School can be very proud of their jukskei players.

“Sarel Cilliers High School can be very proud of their jukskei players. The u/19 boys and u/19 girls jukskei teams from Sarel Cilliers High School represented Umzinyathi District during the KZN Top Schools Winter Sports Eliminations. The u/19 girls team was represented by Puleng Mwelase, Nonjabulo Dladla, Sivenathi Mthethwa, Nxusile Gumede and Sandisiwe Dlodlo and the under 19 boys team were represented by Nkosikhona Dlamini, Ntokozo Zulu, Thubilihle Luthuli, Sobuhle Msane and Silindokuhle Ngcobo. The Districts in KZN were divided into two groups and both teams from Sarel Cilliers High School won in their groups. In the final play off between the two groups, the boys u/19 won their final, but unfortunately the girls lost. Coach Leon Lombard was very proud of their achievement. The boys u/19 Jukskei team from Sarel Cilliers will represent KZN during the SA National Top Schools Championships to be held in Durban from July 9 to 16 (dates still to be finalised) . The school wishes them the best of luck.”
Netball players selected for KZN team
Three Sarel netball players were selected for the KZN team this past weekend. The school wants to congratulate them and also thank their coaches for their support and hard work. Sarel is very proud of these players and knows they will do well. The selected girls are Thandokuhle Mazibuko, Bongeka Manyathi and Nqobile Moetenalo.

Rugby girls do well at tournament
The u/15 girls rugby team did exceptionally well this past weekend at a tournament in Durban. They reached the semi-finals, but unfortunately lost. Their behaviour was impeccable and they played very well. They drew 0-0 against Cacamazela, won 15-5 against Masibumbane, lost 0-5 against Tholithemba and in the semi-finals they lost 5-10 against Cacamazela. Sarel is proud of the players for doing so well and want to thank Mr Dube for his hard work as coach of the girls rugby teams.
