An “illegal gathering” on August 21 led to the arrest of 94 suspects and the subsequent recovery and confiscation of 40 firearms in Bloodriver near Utrecht.
According to an article by the Newcastle Advertiser, the 94 taxi owners were later released on ‘free bail’ following protest action by other taxi owners, who blocked the roads near Utrecht Police Station shortly after the arrest and demanded the release of their colleagues.
The suspects are set to appear in Utrecht Magistrate’s Court on September 8, according to a source at Kingsley Police Station, on charges of illegal gathering.
