Amangwe SAPS members arrested two people for the possession of close to 80kg of dagga on Friday, July 22 at about 10pm.
The police officers were performing patrol duties when they received information about two homesteads where dagga was being kept.
They then proceeded to the houses and after a search, police seized dagga weighing a total of 79.5 kg.
Two suspects, aged 33 and 48, were arrested for possession of dagga. They appeared briefly in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on July 25.
