NEWCASTLE – A joint operation by the Newcastle Crime Prevention Unit and the Crime Intelligence Unit was conducted at the Newcastle Taxi Rank on August 8.

The operation led to the recovery of concealed drugs, believed to be sold at the rank.
According to police reports, the drugs recovered were valued at around R1 980 and consisted of 19 Mandrax tablets, 45 parcels of dagga and 400grams of loose dry dagga.
