Armed men rob business and hijack vehicle in Bergville

An armed robbery took place at a business in Kingsway Road, Bergville, on Sunday at about 8.30am.
There were about eight gunmen, and the group assaulted one person and fired shots in the direction of others at the business.
The suspects stole money and fled the scene in two vehicles. A third vehicle, a BMW, was hijacked outside the business by two of the suspects.
Police were involved in a chase with the robbers, and the hijacked vehicle was later found abandoned on the Winterton / Amangwe road.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
