Authorities have been hard at work since early July trying to unlock the mystery behind the human remains recovered in Colita.

The discovery of a spine and skull, made in the Colita suburb, known as Sandton left the community visibly shaken and disgruntled.

At the time of the recovery, the community had firm suspicions that the remains were that of 26-year-old Zinhle Innocentia Ndlovu, who went missing and was last seen in Colita on February 19 this year.

The community of Colita still believe that the woman was killed and the culprits need to be brought to book. Bystanders said the front of the spine is covered in burn marks.

“Unfortunately I do not have any further update at this stage,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Ahmed Khan when asked for feedback about the investigation. An inquest docket is being investigated.
