A Chinese man sustained gunshot wounds after five men armed with rifles barged into his store this afternoon (August 25) in Bergville.
At this stage, it is unclear what was stolen. The suspects fled the scene when they had taken what they wanted.
Police responded and are investigating.
This is the same store that was targeted on Sunday morning, when about eight gunmen assaulted a Chinese national and fired shots in the direction of others at the business.
In Sunday’s robbery, the suspects stole money and fled the scene in two vehicles. A third vehicle, a BMW, was hijacked outside the business by two of the suspects.
Police were involved in a chase with the robbers and the hijacked vehicle was later found abandoned on the Winterton / Amangwe road.
