Things are cooking with festive cheer at Charlies Super Spar

To add to the fun on December 15, ‘The White Zulu’ will entertain shoppers from 2pm on the day with lots of balloons and other surprises for parents and kids

A family fun day is being cooked up in the ovens at Charlie’s SuperSpar in the run-up to the big draw where one customer will tow-away a brand new trailer on December 15.
Organised by Spar bakery manager, Carlos da Silva, the ‘Something Sweet’ till-slip competition aims to promote the new-look bakery where Carols has already introduced a range of new products.
These include biltong bread (“One of my favourites”, smiles Carlos), rye bread, sunflower seed bread and even spinach and feta bread. “These flavours are also available as buns – so come around to the bakery and see what we have. I am open to suggestions too.”
And it is easy to enter the trailer competition.
Buy any product from the bakery (scones, cakes, muffins, doughnuts – the qualifying products are on display in the shop), put your name and contact number on the back of your till slip, drop it into the box and you can win, should your name be drawn at 5pm on December 15.
Do not stress if you have made holiday plans to be away during that time – Carlos will ensure that if you are a winner, but can’t be in the store when the draw is done, the trailer will be kept for you!
To add to the fun on December 15, ‘The White Zulu’ will entertain shoppers from 2pm on the day with lots of balloons and other surprises for parents and kids. “Come around and enjoy a festive day with us,” Carlos concluded.
