Yes, there are still children who write old fashioned letters to Father Christmas

"Please Father Christmas can my mum and dad get a Christmas present?"

In this age of fast technology, rude social media and the yearning for instant gratification, Presidential tweeting and more, it is indeed satisfying to know that children still write letters to Father Christmas.

This is evident from the pile of hand-written notes found in the Letters to Father Christmas box in Glencoe Spar. One child asked Father Christmas to please bring his mum and dad a present. Others said they ‘have been good girls and/or boys throughout the year and could they please have a toy’.

Others asked for Tablets and, of course, dolls.  Father Christmas, AKA, Assie, will be going through the letters and, hopefully, some may get a gift. Tomorrow, Saturday, Glencoe Spar staff kids will receive toys from Father Christmas!
