Petrol hike in the new year

You'll be paying 50 cents a litre more for petrol, as of today

Thousands of motorists in Ladysmith and surrounding areas will feel the pinch, as the petrol price is going up today (January 4).

A 50 cents a litre petrol hike comes into effect today!

The Department of Energy has cautioned consumers about the latest increase in the price of fuel, as follows: 93 ULP and LRP – 50 cents a litre; 95 ULP and LRP – 48 cents a litre; diesel (0.05% sulphur) – 39 cents a litre; diesel (0.005% sulphur) – 37 cents a litre; wholesale price of illuminating paraffin – 43 cents a litre; and single maximum national retail price of illuminating paraffin – 58 cents a litre.
