Rainy weather causes four collisions in one day

“One person sustained injuries and was transported to hospital for further medical care,” said Mr van Vuuren.

Just after 1pm, TRIVS responded to another incident near Inkwelo where a vehicle went down an embankment. Nobody sustained any injuries.

Shortly afterwards, a minibus taxi lost control and collided with a barrier near Inkwelo.

While TRIVS was attending to the scene, it was reported that a bakkie had overturned near Laingsnek, and a woman sustained moderate injuries. She was taken to hospital.

“It is believed rainy weather might have contributed to the four accidents, but the collisions will remain subject to police investigations,” he concluded.
