Ithembalethu Outreach Project together with funding from Lotto made it possible to hand over brand new school uniforms to 20 needy students in Wembezi on Friday, January 6. Pure joy and excitement lit up the little faces of these learners, who immediately began trying their school shoes on.
When speaking to the Project Manager Sister Maureen Aron, she commented that it feels wonderful helping needy children, who are our future leaders.
“A pair of socks and shoes, school pants and so on for many may just seem as clothes, but for these children it means being able to attend school every day and not being absent simply because they have no school shoes,” added Sister Maureen.
The Ithembalethu Outreach Project team would like to thank Lotto for making the handover possible and further challenges you to help secure these learner’s schooling careers.
