Sick dog removed from owners and put down
Annamarie Koen took the dog to the vet, where it was humanely put to sleep

A dog was removed from its owners and put to sleep after Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) workers noticed people walking with a dog that was in a terrible condition along Helpmekaar Road recently.
Annamarie Koen of the AACL stopped and asked the people where they was taking the dog. The reply was that they were trying to arrange for money to buy food for the animal and take it to the vet.
A saddened Annamarie removed the dog and immediately took it to the vet.
The dog refused to eat.
Unfortunately, the poor animal had to be put down due to the poor state of health it was in.
