Congratulations to all matriculants, we wish you well in your future endeavours.

NEWCASTLE – The matriculants of Newcastle High School can pat themselves on the back as the school achieved an overall pass rate of 97.3 per cent for the year 2016.

Principal, Manny Govender commended all matriculants of NHS on their outstanding results.

He was exceptionally proud when one of the learners, Yathil Matabadal was announced as top learner in the Amajuba District.

“I always encourage our learners to strive for 100 per cent,” said Mr Govender.

Considering the pass rate remained the same two years in a row, Mr Govender nonetheless mentioned the consistent work put in by learners.

“I motivated the learners to increase the school’s Bachelor’s pass rate as compared to last year. I am proud to announce we obtained a 72 per cent Bachelor’s pass rate for 2016,” he concluded.

Congratulations to all matriculants, we wish you well in your future endeavours.
