Leaking water angers motorists in Thompson Road, Ladysmith

The water fills up potholes at the corner of the road, making it difficult for motorists turning into the street

Motorists are complaining about water leaking from a burst pipe in Thompson Road.

The water fills up potholes at the corner of the road, making it difficult for motorists turning into the street. They fear that their vehicles will get damaged.

To add to the problem, a foul smell emanates from the water.

“Something needs to be done about this situation. There are businesses here and we can’t have the road in this shocking condition. In fact, the whole street is covered with potholes, which is unacceptable,” said resident Mr Green, who often drives along Thomson Road.

Motorists have issued a plea to the municipality to have the pipe fixed and to sort out all the potholes.
