Motoring mishap on High Street leaves drivers uneasy
While no injuries were sustained in the unfortunate incident, the driver of the Easy Pass vehicle was fined for not having a valid PDP at the time of the crash.

HIGH Street in Vryheid was the scene of a two-vehicle collision this morning when a driving school vehicle came to blows with a Mercedes outside Vryheid Hospice.

It is believed that the driver of the Mercedes was turning when the other vehicle smashed into the left rear side it, sending it into a spin before coming to rest in the garden of one of the apartments across the road from Vryheid Hospice.

Pieter Fourie and Marius Moolman from JVS Towing were at the scene to recover the Mercedes and, along with members of the SAPS, ensured that the accident scene remained intact until the relevant authorities arrived.

While no injuries were sustained in the unfortunate incident, the driver of the Easy Pass vehicle was fined for not having a valid PDP at the time of the crash.

Authorities took control of the scene, ensuring no further incidents occurred while the road was cleared.

Although visibly shaken by the crash, both drivers escaped without injury. The fence was not so lucky.
