The victims are cared for in places of safety such as, Thembelihle Child and Youth Care Centre.
They were allegedly trafficked from Swaziland and Lesotho into South Africa.
Of 73 human trafficking victims, 14 have been in the shelter for approximately one month.
Dixon Muzamani, caretaker of Thembelihle, said it was a challenge to keep up with the basic needs of the victims.
“I cook pap for them, and sometimes it is not enough.”
Mealiemeal, baked beans, polony, eggs and concentrated juice formed part of the donation to supplement the victims’ diet.
Mr Muzamani was overwhelmed by the kind gesture.
“Thank you Newcastle Advertiser!” he exclaimed.
