Breaking News: Badly wounded driver drives kilometres to N3 Ultra City for help after shooting

He sped through what has been described as a well-planned ambush

The driver of a van who was shot in what is believed to have been an attempted hijacking was rushed to hospital after he drove his vehicle to Ultra City, where he collapsed. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The bullet-riddled vehicle bears testimony to the violence of the attempted hijacking.

This is the second attempted hijacking to have taken place this morning (March 8), to our knowledge.

The van was travelling between Estcourt and Ladysmith when it was attacked.

The driver sped through what has been described as a well-planned ambush.

He rushed to the Ultra City on the N3, looking for help and safety from his attackers.
