This week, we investigated claims that there are not enough police vehicles in Newcastle.
According to a resident, the most common response given from the police is: ” Sorry, we do not have a vehicle available, but we will dispatch one as soon as one becomes available.”
This has reportedly become a constant problem.
We sent a list of questions to the Newcastle SAPS, and they have yet to comment except to say that residents should be aware of their surroundings, and take necessary precautions until the police arrive.
